Childhood dreams
My childhood dream was to become a military man, to defend the Motherland and serve my people, my role model is my father, he once served in Afghanistan. But fate decided in its own way, I did not pass the military commission and today my calling is Energy. Since childhood, I have been interested in large chimneys, because our house was located overlooking just these chimneys of the Western Thermal Complex in the Aksai-5 microdistrict. I wondered where so much smoke comes from, how does it all work? Now I think that I am not far from military life, because our profession is considered paramilitary, where there is always discipline and strict requirements.
An energy worker must have such personal qualities as self-confidence, resistance to stress, the ability to adapt and, of course, do not forget about discipline. If we talk about professional qualities, then you need to be purposeful, result-oriented, able to multi-task and be decisive.
First meeting
In 2013, he became a driver of pumping units (fuel oil) at the Western Thermal Complex of AlES JSC. In the same year, at the suggestion of the chief engineer of the ZTK, Sabit Sarsembayevich Dzhingilbaev, was transferred to the position of engineer in the repair preparation group, since his previous work activity met the requirements of this position. He studied to become a power engineer at the State College of Energy and Electronic Technologies. In 2016, he graduated with a degree in electrical power engineering.
My first mentor was the head of the boiler shop, Kenzhebai Ilyasovich Baizakhov, recalls Aibol. “He taught and passed on his vast experience in the repair and operation of boiler shop equipment. I am sincerely grateful to Kenzhebai Ilyasovich for his knowledge, skills, support, understanding and patience. I worked in the repair preparation group under the leadership of Deputy Chief Engineer Sergei Vladimirovich Popov. Thanks to the mentors and the team, who have extensive experience in the ZTK, who are always there to help, I did not have any particular difficulties in familiarizing myself with the ZTK equipment.
Being an energy worker is very responsible
In my career, I was most impressed by the reconstruction of the steam part of the ZTK, since before everything was manual switching before the reconstruction, but now much is automated. I am proud that during the implementation of the MRO program, at ZTK I was the only technical employee who taught engineering and technical workers in practice how the equipment maintenance and repair system works.
My working day begins with walking around workplaces, equipment and familiarizing myself with defects and solving them together with my workshop colleagues. My responsibilities include planning repairs and eliminating defects in hot water boilers. We solve assigned problems with the workshop manager. I always think that the most necessary quality in a person is the ability to work in a team.
An energy worker, in my opinion, needs to be purposeful, result-oriented, able to multitask, decisive, and able to find the right approach in any situation. Energy is a dangerous industry. Every day, every hour, you need to treat everything carefully, think in detail about every decision, every step forward. Our managing director Alibek Maratovich Tastanbekov always says: “Take care of yourself, follow safety requirements, because they are waiting for you at home!”

Not just work
For me, the best gift is my parents, who always strived for us to receive a higher education and remain human in any life situations. And the most significant gift is the birth of my two daughters.
A little about hobbies. Due to my height (I’m almost 2 meters), I was noticed by creative people who sew clothes of ancient Turkic warriors. Since 2018, in my free time from work, I perform at holidays, business meetings, music videos and participate in TV channel programs dressed as a Turkic warrior. It became a hobby for the soul and additional income. In his free time, he also began to practice archery and horse riding, since our warriors are always good riders and archers. Horseback riding and archery are very good for health.
