Full-impact half marathon

On a cold, overcast morning on September 14, 2018, more than 4,000 running enthusiasts gathered near the First President’s Park. They ran the first “Almaty Half Marathon” through the streets of the city. Representatives of the Corporate Center “Samruk-Enrego”, the companies “Almaty Electric Power Stations”, “AlmatyEnergoSbyt” and “Alatau Zharyk Kompaniyasy” took part in it from the energy holding of JSC “Samruk-Energo”. Zhantemir Kaigaltarov, design engineer of the reinforcement and mechanical shop of the PRP “Energoremont”, activist of the youth organization “Zharkyn Bolashak”, won the distance of 21 km from JSC “AlES”.

“This is my first marathon. I’ve been preparing for it for three weeks. Feelings, of course, are not forgotten. I got my first medal. The marathon participants have the following motto: “Sport is our religion, and running is our prayer.” I’ll keep myself on my toes! I plan to participate in the following marathons.
