From professional success to personal victories
Energy workers sum up the results of the past year, which was filled not only with work moments, but also with personal events that made this year special. Employees of AlES JSC share their important achievements that will be remembered for a long time.
A year of intense work and growth

The year 2023 will be remembered for bright, eventful events, exciting meetings and new acquaintances. Having become the father of a boy for the third time at the end of 2022, after two beautiful daughters, I thought about changing jobs to provide for my family and career growth.
After successfully submitting the quarterly report, the head of the economics department invited me to take part in the competition for the position of head of the budget and economic analysis department of the economics department.
Having passed the competition and taken on new responsibilities, I began intensive work on forming a company development plan for 2024-2028. Every day of the summer, together with colleagues and management, we worked to complete this task. We did a lot of painstaking work to prepare as much as possible for defense, to defend every service, product and work.
After the competition, my previous head of the economics department told me: “In this position, a professional “quantum leap” awaits you.” And after more than six months, I begin to understand what exactly was meant.
I would like to express my appreciation and gratitude to the management for trusting me in this significant and responsible area of work. The most important thing is that they hear me and are always ready to give practical and necessary advice. I am ready to make every effort to meet my expectations and, possibly, exceed them.

Advanced training and historical discoveries:
a trip to St. Petersburg
Andrey Ivanov, head of the Electrical Engineering Laboratory of the Electrical Machine Shop at the Kapshagai Hydroelectric Power Station named after. Sh. Chokina
In 2023, one of the most significant events happened for me – a trip to St. Petersburg to improve my qualifications at JSC Promavtomatika. I work at the Kapshagai hydroelectric station named after. Sh. Chokina is already 33 years old. My interest in engineering and technology prompted me to take a course on software and hardware for automatic control systems for hydraulic units. This journey brought me incredible experiences and knowledge.
During the five days spent in St. Petersburg, I not only delved into the theory and practice of software and hardware for self-propelled guns, but also enjoyed the beauty and history of this beautiful city. Visiting attractions such as the Hermitage, St. Isaac’s Cathedral, the Peter and Paul Fortress, the Mariinsky Theater and even aboard the legendary cruiser Aurora made me feel like I was part of Russian history.
Advanced training turned out to be not only useful, but also an enjoyable experience. I learned a lot of new and interesting things about the operating principles, design and programming of automatic control systems for hydraulic units, which will certainly be useful to me in my professional activities. Meeting interesting specialists allowed us to exchange experiences and ideas, make new friends and colleagues. The teaching staff was highly qualified and friendly, their accessible and interesting presentation of the material, willingness to answer questions and support students created an atmosphere conducive to my professional and personal growth.
I am very grateful to the company for the opportunity to study at JSC Promavtomatika. This experience was unforgettable for me and one of the most valuable in 2023. The trip to St. Petersburg for advanced training was the best event of the year for me.
New horizons at CHPP-1

This year I moved from CHPP-2 named after. A. Zhakutov at CHPP-1 named after. B. Orazbayeva in the chemical workshop as a process engineer. My work amazes me with its diversity. In the process of work, I learned a lot of new things thanks to the experienced management of the chemical workshop and the professionalism of the team.
I was especially impressed by the organization of the young specialists at the station. A memorable moment was the initiation event into the energy sector, when newly arrived workers pledged to faithfully serve the energy sector.
One of the unforgettable moments was when we conducted exciting chemical experiments for children at the Edelweiss camp during the summer holidays. Every year, the station runs a School Ambassador program as part of its equal opportunity project. This year I also participated.
The most memorable thing for me was participating in the “Jam and Pickles” competition this summer. It was exciting and impressive. My team is friendly and responsive, and I enjoy working at the station, I am proud that I am contributing a piece of my work to our common cause.
Reflection on a year filled with events

The past year has left unforgettable impressions in my life. At the beginning of the year, I achieved a cherished goal that I had dreamed of for many years. Obtaining a new position as a 1st category process engineer was a serious achievement for me.
Paragliding was another exciting adventure – I felt the wind and freedom in every movement. No less exciting was my journey on a scooter through the picturesque corners of my native land, where I discovered new places and beautiful views. However, one of the most unforgettable experiences was my first hunt, where I experienced the power of nature and enjoyed the friendly atmosphere among fellow hunters.
But that’s not all: this year my family expanded – I became a father for the third time, and the birth of my son into this world became a source of boundless joy and happiness for me. These happy moments stuck in my mind and filled my life with warmth and joy.
The past year has been filled with unique and incredible events that made it special and unforgettable for me.
Decent first place

The AlES JSC Spartakiad took place for three days and there were new relay races every day. The Spartakiad program was quite rich: chess, mini-football, basketball, tennis, arm wrestling, asyk atu, lasso tartu, togyz kumalak and e-sports. All teams showed strength, agility and speed. The participants actively supported each other and were worried about the success of their comrades.
The passion for sports and the desire to bring victory to their team captured the participants so much that they were completely immersed in the competition. Everyone tried to reach the finish line first and earn more points for their team at each stage of the competition. All participants performed at the highest level. This allowed the TPP-3 team to take 1st place in the team competition.
But what is especially valuable for both participants and fans is the emotions experienced during the competition. Now the team at CHPP-3, inspired by success on the sports field, is ready for new challenges and competitions.
2023: professional achievements and sporting changes

This year, completely new horizons have opened up for me both professionally and athletically. One of the most important events in the professional sphere was my appointment to the position of head of the electrical workshop of the ZTK. This is a big responsibility for me. I am ready for new challenges, I strive to improve the work of the workshop and build effective teamwork.
In addition to professional achievements, this year I also experienced joyful changes in my sports career. I took second place in the Kazakhstan Cup in Russian billiards. This became an incentive for me to participate in international competitions.
