Forum “bilim, mansap, bolaşaq”: strengthening the partnership between the college and future employers

At the beginning of November 2023, the Almaty State College of Energy and Electronic Technologies held a Forum with employers “Bılım, mansap, bolaşaq” (“Knowledge, skills, future”). The purpose of the event is to improve the quality of training of qualified specialists in the field of technical and vocational education, as well as to establish efficiency and long-term partnerships between educational institutions and enterprises. The Forum’s work is focused on bridging the gap between educational organizations and enterprises, as well as between theory and attitude, taking into account the requirements of employers and the capabilities of new technologies. The event was attended by representatives of the college’s partner enterprises, the Atameken National Chamber of Entrepreneurs and the city education department, as well as the media.

JSC “Almaty Power Plants” has been one of the key partners of the college for more than 50 years. Many graduates of the Almaty State College of Energy and Electronic Technologies are successfully employed in the departments of AlES JSC. Within the framework of the Forum, a dialogue with employers on current issues of personnel training was organized in the “Aquarium” format. Daria Shaizhanova, head of human resources department, spoke at the event on behalf of AlES JSC.

– Participation in the Forum gave us a unique opportunity to see the potential of future employees and establish contacts with talented students. The forum became for me not only a platform for discussing educational issues, but also an inspiring experience,” said Baurzhan Mambetov, senior dispatcher of the dispatch service of AlES JSC.

As part of the Forum program, a dialogue was organized with leading guest lecturers in the “World Cafe” format between employers and young professionals as part of the Unconference (including business games, discussions and trainings with mentors), as well as excursions around the material and technical base equipped within the Center competencies and the project “Zhas Maman”.

The best employers were awarded certificates of gratitude from local executive bodies, the Ministry of Education of the Republic of Kazakhstan and the Atameken NCE.
