Flowers as a lifestyle
Gulnar Sharipbayeva, an engineer for the organization of operation and repair at the CHPP-2 n.a. A.Zhakutov, created a cozy oasis in her office.
Having worked for 28 years in the electrical workshop of Almaty CHPP-2, she made a special contribution to the decor of her office – plants that create an atmosphere of warmth, comfort and harmony.
“There were already flowers in my office before me, and I decided to continue caring for them”, Gulnar recalls. – New plants appeared, which were given by colleagues and friends”. Interestingly, Gulnar’s love of flowers, as she herself says, has been since childhood, perhaps due to her name: “Gul” in Kazakh means “flower”, and “nar” means pomegranate, which can be translated as a pomegranate flower. So fate seemed to have predetermined her tender love for plants.
Flowers in Gulnar’s office are not just a decoration. “They create a unique microclimate. They are pleasing to the eye, sometimes I even talk to them”, Gulnar shares. – In the morning, when I came to work, I immediately opened the window to fill the office with fresh air, and the flowers could breathe”. Twice a week, she carefully waters her plants, doing it as a ritual, with love and attention.
Her workplace has become attractive to colleagues. “Our employees often come into my office, pay attention to the flowers, and are surprised that they bloom so abundantly”, she says with a smile. Plants have become a kind of bridge that promotes informal communication and a friendly atmosphere in the team.
One of the unique plants in Gulnar’s study is a date palm grown from a date stone brought by her sisters from Dubai in 2014. This plant has become a real symbol of her care and patience – over the years it has turned into a luxurious palm tree, creating even more comfort in the office.
Gulnar’s love of flowers dates back to her childhood, when she enjoyed growing flowers. Her home garden and house were rich in plants: ficus Benjamin, dracaena, oxalis, spathiphyllum, anthurium and many others. Flowers always gave her joy, gave her a feeling of love.
Gulnara is sure that plants play a major role not only in creating comfort, but also in improving the ecology of the workplace. They release oxygen, remove harmful toxins and dust, maintaining a comfortable microclimate. “The main goal is to create a cozy workplace and an ecological environment inside the office”, she notes.
The plants in Gulnar Sharipbayeva’s office – a symbol of her diligence and care. She makes her world and the world of her colleagues better and warmer.
