Environmental challenge: “Be in the eco-trend!”

Attention everyone! The ecological challenge “Be in the eco-trend!” starts on November 11, 2024

The action was announced by Almaty Electric Stations. Environmental Protection Department invites all employees of the head office and production departments of JSC AlES to take part in the environmental challenge, which will be held from 11 to 15 November!

Let’s start small – switch to eco-bags. Refusal from plastic
bags and leather bags in favor of eco-bags is the first step in the fight for ecological health of the planet.

Eco-bags. Is this a modern trend or a necessity caused by the depressing ecological situation? More like both. Because eco-bags are not only a great alternative to plastic bags, they are also convenient, stylish and practical.

Every trip to the shop is usually accompanied by the purchase of a plastic bag, which is later sent to the rubbish. And few people think about the fact that this plastic after your shopping will decompose for another 400 years. Imagine, a discarded bag will lie in the ground for another 4 centuries! At the same time its particles can be eaten by animals or birds as food. And this will inevitably lead to their death.

Eco-bags in the current realities are a great way to contribute to the protection of nature. And if at least a third of the world’s population refuses plastic in favour of natural materials, the ecological situation will improve.

The good thing about this simple change is that eco-bags last a long time and are suitable for different purposes. You can take them to the shops to store your purchases, you can store things in them, use them as a fashion accessory and give them as gifts. And they themselves are a great gift, as this simple thing becomes a canvas for needleworkers. That means that they are already art objects in themselves.

Today there are a lot of them in use: embroidered with beads or sequins, with author’s pattern, with unique weaving, with fringe, with patchwork style inserts…. They can surprise, become an object of admiration and even… competition of fashionistas!
