Attention – for the elderly
In the golden autumn season, it has become a good tradition to celebrate the Day of the Elderly. We honor and once again say “thank you” to those who gave us the warmth of their hearts, strength and knowledge, to whom we turn for advice and help.
During the holidays, the elderly received many pleasant surprises. One of them was organized by employees of JSC “AlES” for the elderly, disabled people, residents of the Auezovsky district of Almaty. On October 18, 2017, a festive lunch was served at the Ak Altyn restaurant and 20 food baskets were presented.
“The purpose of this holiday is to draw public attention to the problems of elderly people. Every family is brought up on love and memory for the older generation. These are people who embody hard work and wisdom. The main legacy they share is their invaluable life experience, ” said Valery Sitdikov, chairman of the Trade Union Committee.
This event was organized by activists of the youth organization “Zharkyn Bolashak” JSC AlES ” with the assistance of the trade union organization JSC “AlES”, the party ” Nur Otan “and the administration of the restaurant”Ak Altyn”.

According to the Ministry of Labor and Social Protection of the Population, more than 2.1 million old-age pensioners live in Kazakhstan today.
There are 110 inpatient boarding schools and 53 day hospitals in Kazakhstan, which cover more than 3,500 elderly people. Social assistance departments at home currently serve about 44 thousand elderly and disabled people. In addition, conditions are being created for the rehabilitation of elderly people in day and home hospitals, including for single and non-transportable persons. Currently, at the expense of the local budget, elderly citizens and disabled people are provided with special social services.
