At the end of July 2017, employees of JSC “AlES” made a hiking trip to the Kok Zhailau tract. The group, consisting of representatives of the Head Office and 4 departments, as well as their children, started their journey from the Medeu tract. After overcoming several steep and low climbs, after 3 hours of walking, the group reached the Kok Zhailau tract, which is about 1600m above sea level. This route is rich in picturesque landscapes, flora and fauna peculiar only to mountainous areas (for example, the edelweiss flower grows here). “We also went down to the Kok Zhailau waterfall. The mountain, clear, icy water refreshed us, and we decided to go further, ” says Adyl Malaev, a participant in the hike.

After the tract, part of the group went to conquer the peak of Three Brothers, whose height is about 2860 m. This is a route of moderate difficulty, as steeper and more frequent climbs prevail here. After 1.5 hours, the peak was conquered by the employees of JSC AlES. “Three Brothers offers a panoramic view of the entire city on one side and the highest peaks of the Trans-Ili Alatau on the other. Our group returned from the hike inspired, full of energy and new ideas!”, Aigerim Duysengalieva shared her impressions.

 Mountain hikes in AlES JSC are held in order to promote a healthy lifestyle, active recreation, popularize mountaineering, raise team spirit and mutual understanding.
