ALMATY WILL HAVE BOTH HEAT AND LIGHT

ALMATY WILL HAVE BOTH HEAT AND LIGHT

Heating and lighting works are being carried out in Almaty and the southern region. Subsidiaries of JSC “Samruk-Energo” showed full readiness for the winter.
The Ermensai station, which distributes electricity in karasai district, provides uninterrupted lighting of the southern part of Almaty, as well as suburban villages. “Over the past three years, consumers have not experienced a shortage of electricity due to the full capacity of the substations” “Ermensai””,” “Kazgu””, “”Medeu “” and “”Chimbulak””.” At these facilities, the technological process is fully automated and computerized, as a result of which there are no accidents at the power plant now. Since the costs of repair crews were reduced, as well as the lights were not turned off, there were no complaints from customers either.
“According to Deputy Chairman of the board of JSC “” Alatau Zharyk company “”Nikolay Tushinsky, the station “”Ermensai””, commissioned in 2010, is the main part of the energy space under construction around Almaty.” Its main purpose is to convert 220 thousand volts of electricity from external power sources to 110 and 10 kW and distribute it to other substations. Equipment here, such as Transformers, a complex separation device, a microprocessor, has been completely replaced by the means of Germany, France.
Previously, transformers made in the days of the USSR ran on oil, as a result of which there was a strong risk of fire. And modern Transformers work with gas. The cables were no longer pulled with the column head as before, and now they run under the ground. The cable is made of braided polyethylene, so it is safe to use and the quality is also good. The old energy facilities will be repaired annually, and the newly built stations will be repaired once every 9 years. And the contact system is checked once every 25 years. Therefore, it is not necessary to have a duty officer to monitor these objects, but a dispatcher sitting at the central remote control in another part of the city will monitor everything.
The planned heating season in Almaty started on October 15 this year. For this period, the necessary operational reserves of fuel collected by all enterprises of JSC “Almaty power plants” amounted to 514 thousand tons of coal, 45 thousand tons of fuel oil. Before the start of the heating season, repair works were carried out at all power facilities of JSC “Ales” (Almaty power plants) – 19 power and 19 water heating boilers, 13 steam turbines and 20 hydro turbines. 3.9 billion tenge is planned for repair costs, of which 3.71 billion tenge (95%) has been disbursed over the past 10 months. Therefore, it is believed that all the main objects in the heating system will withstand the winter.
The CHPP-1 Enterprise, which heats the city of Almaty and surrounding settlements, was built in 1935 and is one of the largest power grids in the country. Obsolescence of CHPP–1 equipment and depreciation of fixed assets can serve as an objective basis for possible negative changes in the energy supply system of Almaty. In the coming years, the main equipment of CHPP–1 compensates for the fleet resources. Three types of fuel are used here: coal, gas, fuel oil. When the foundation of the boiler house was laid, the object was located outside the city, and now it stands in the heart of Almaty. In recent years, a lot of work has been done here: a boiler with additional hot water and 4 accumulator boilers with a capacity of 5 thousand cubic meters have been installed. The Heat master, connecting between CHPP-1 and CHPP-2 located on the outskirts of the city, reduces the force entering the city’s facilities. “According to the chairman of the board of “”ales “” JSC Nurlan Mukhamed-Rakhimov, in the future, all objects of CHPP-1, CHPP-2, CHPP-3 in the village of Otegen batyr, as well as Cascade HPP in Karasay district will be reconstructed.”
– Our enterprises are fully prepared for the Winter,-says Valery Lee, deputy chairman of the Board of Samruk – Energo JSC,-so let Almaty residents not worry: we deliver heat and light to every house. If you remember, a few years ago, accidents were frequent due to the obsolescence of equipment, electricity was cut off almost every day. Today, we have built energy hubs around Almaty. In the near future, we plan to launch the Besagash station, which will close the circle around Almaty.
