Almaty Electric Power Plants JSC presented a report on the results of work for 2013 on corporate social responsibility
On February 24-26, 2014, as part of the annual reporting meetings of the heads of the companies of the Samruk-Kazyna National Welfare Fund group in front of the workforce on the results of work in 2013 and tasks for the coming period in the field of corporate social responsibility, meetings were held at AlES JSC labor collectives of the Company.
The Chairman of the Board Nurlan Mukhamed-Rakhimov made a report, who noted the main directions and results of the Company’s activities for 2013, the main priorities of the Company in the field of corporate social responsibility. Issues related to the wage fund, labor protection, environmental protection, training of the Company’s personnel, labor motivation policy, information openness policy, etc. were considered.
The report highlights the main calendar events of the Company (signing of a collective agreement, completion of the expansion of the small field of section No. 4 of the ash dump of CHPP-3, commissioning of the boiler room under the project “Reconstruction and expansion of the Almaty CHPP-2. Stage III. Boiler room”, creation of the youth organization “Zharkyn” Bolashak” and the veterans’ council “Aksakal Kenesi”, the 7th anniversary of JSC “AlES”, the 70th anniversary of the Almaty energy complex, the anniversaries of the production departments of the Cascade HPP and ZTK, joining the KAZENERGY association, etc.).
In general, the report demonstrates consistency in the development of the non-financial reporting process, improves the quality and transparency of corporate governance, and reveals the Company’s obligations to its employees.
During the discussion, questions were asked about wages, housing, hiring workers for vacant positions, innovations in production, etc. All questions asked by the Company’s employees were given detailed, thorough answers.
