AlES’s educational scholarship: the future of power engineering is in good hands

Almaty Electric Stations JSC has announced the results of its educational scholarship competition. This initiative has already become an outstanding social project, paving the way for talented and ambitious young people to enter the profession.

This year, 13 applications were submitted for the competition, and 12 applicants were pre-selected. The competition committee evaluated the candidates based on a set of criteria: UNT results, GPA, essays and social grounds. Particular attention was paid to supporting young people from large families, in line with the principles of social responsibility of AlES JSC and the spirit of the company’s corporate culture.

Following the meetings, a list of nine competition winners was approved. They are:

  • Kasenov Baysultan Asylovich;
  • Mansur Daniyaruly Zhumadilov;
  • Daulbay Sungat Maratuly;
  • Azat Maksuduly Tolkin;
  • Ali Kobeisuly Baibolatov;
  • Sultan Beibarys Talgatuly;
  • Zhandauetuly Zhansha;
  • Otanagazynov Nurbol Ardaquly;
  • Erbolatkyzy Madina.

Each of them has their own story, full of hopes, plans and gratitude.

“I would like to express my sincere gratitude for the opportunity to study on a grant basis. This is an important step towards the future. Thanks to the scholarship, I will not only be able to gain high-quality knowledge, but also make new friends. This is an invaluable experience that will open up new prospects and give me confidence in my abilities,” shared Baysultan Kaseenov, a graduate of the Aviation College of the Civil Aviation Academy JSC.

For Nurbol Otangazynov, a graduate of Secondary School №43 in the Ili District, the profession of energy engineer has special significance. “My plan is to study well and to become a professional who will ensure that the city never runs out of electricity. I became interested in the energy sector thanks to the example set by my grandfather’s younger brother. His life journey and the support of my parents made my choice conscious and confident,’ said Nurbol.

As for Zhanshy Zhandauletuly, a graduate of the Al-Farabi Binom School-Lyceum, the grant was confirmation that his efforts had not been in vain: “When I won the scholarship, I felt joy and pride. It inspires me to study hard, participate in projects, compete with other students and finish my studies being among the best,” he said.

The winners admit that the scholarship is not just financial support, but an opportunity to recreate their ideas, confirm the value of their work and discover new perspectives.

AlES JSC considers the development of the program to be a strategic direction: in the nearest future, it will launch a separate scholarship program for students who study on a fee-paying basis and demonstrate high academic results.

A scholarship from AlES is an investment in the future, in young professionals who will be at the forefront of the energy industry tomorrow and ensure the energy stability and reliability of the Almaty region.
