Ales: public control

In April, an extended meeting of the Production Council for Occupational Health and Safety of AlES JSC was organized and held with participation of representatives of the Production Councils and technical inspectors of CHPP-1 n.a. B.Orazbayev, CHPP-2 n.a. A.Zhakutov, CHPP-3, Cascade of HPP, WHC, Energoremont PRC and Fuel Reception and Unloading Center.

The main attention was devoted to the results and achievements of the work of the Production Councils. The management of JSC AlES fully supports and creates all conditions for the implementation of the activities of production councils and technical inspectors to ensure public control over the implementation of labour protection requirements, prevention of occupational injuries, occupational diseases and health of employees.

The minutes instructions of the Samruk-Energy JSC meeting “Results of Samruk-Energy JSC activities on industrial safety for 2023 and tasks for 2024” on increasing payments for performing the functions of technical inspectors for labour protection up to 10 MCI per month and on strengthening the work of production councils for safety and labour protection and technical inspectors for labour protection were also discussed.

– The state policy of the Republic of Kazakhstan in the field of labour safety and labour protection is aimed at promoting internal control over the observance of the rights and legitimate interests of workers. Thus, in accordance with article 203 of the Labour Code of the Republic of Kazakhstan, established Industrial Councils on Safety and Labour Protection. In AlES JSC, the Production Council was established and has been successfully operating since 2017 – said Serik Tymbasbayev, Chairman of the Public Association “Local Trade Union “Energy”.
