AlES: connection between generations

AlES volunteers provide ongoing assistance to 60 veterans of the Great Patriotic War, home front workers and war children

For the second year, employees of AlES JSC have been carrying out volunteer activities within the framework of the Zhenis project, with the support of Samruk-Kazyna National Welfare Fund JSC.

— We visit veterans, home front workers and children of war in Talgar on a quarterly basis. We provide assistance with food baskets, household appliances, medical devices and products,” shared Madiyar Moldabek, leading economist of the Procurement Department of AlES JSC.

At the beginning of October 2021, company employees again visited WWII veterans, home front workers and war children together with the Chairman of the Council of Veterans for the Talgar District, M.S. Bekbosynov. This year, 5 volunteer raids have already been carried out, and another raid is planned for December. During one raid, the guys visit about 30 people. First, the guys find out the needs for household appliances and medical devices from the families of veterans, taking into account their requests, they purchase heaters, thermos kettles, vacuum cleaners, microwave ovens, blood pressure monitors, wheelchairs, canes, hearing aids, diapers, etc. War veterans and home front workers thank the project participants for their attention and help.

Murunova Kumysbala Tyulkubaevna, whose family received a thermopot, spoke about her difficult work as a laborer in various factories at the height of the war to provide the defenders of the Motherland and people with everything they needed. Saparov Zhumabek (test pilot during the Second World War, wounded three times) needed a heater due to sudden cold snaps. With the help of energy drinks, now his room is always warm and cozy. “There are very few veterans left in our time.” These people risked their lives to defend their Motherland. Thanks to their courage and dedication, we live in this world. We want to help veterans so that they can live more with dignity and help with their needs,” added Almas Armiyauly, chief specialist of the Procurement Department of AlES JSC.

Over two years, 9 volunteer raids were carried out by employees of AlES JSC to veterans, home front workers and children of war, in which 311 people visited.
