Public Association “Local Trade Union “Energy” and the Branch “Trade Union “Almaty Electric Stations” NGO “Local Trade Union “Energy” unites 2,738 trade union members with a total number of employees at JSC “AlES” – 3,157 people.
During 2020, the Public Association “Local Trade Union “Energy” and the Branch “Trade Union “AlES” did the following work:
– children’s New Year’s gifts were purchased for the children of employees of JSC “AlES” and children’s New Year’s parties were organized with theatrical performances in the theater named after. A. Pushkin;
— non-working pensioners of AlES JSC in the amount of 1,141 people were provided with charitable assistance in the amount of up to 30,000 tenge for each pensioner (taking into account the length of service in the electric power industry);
— reporting trade union meetings were held on the results of the work of the primary trade union organizations of the departments of AlES JSC for 2019;
– by March 8th, female workers and female pensioners of AlES JSC (637 working women, 501 female pensioners, 1138 women in total) were paid a one-time remuneration in the amount of 21.6 million tenge. At the expense of the trade union, congratulations to female workers were organized (tea parties were organized in the amount of 1.8 million tenge);
— on the occasion of Victory Day on May 9 in the Great Patriotic War of 1941-1945, the participants of the Second World War, veterans of the labor front, internationalist soldiers and participants in the liquidation of the Chernobyl nuclear power plant accident (58 people in total) were honored. Participants of the Second World War, home front workers and persons equivalent to them were paid a one-time remuneration in the amount of 3.5 million tenge with the provision of food baskets at the expense of the trade union (non-working pensioners 43 people in the amount of 645,000 tenge);
— in August, in honor of the celebration of Kurban Ait, the branch of the “Trade Union “AlES” in all 8 departments of JSC “AlES” organized and held festive dinners for employees of JSC “AlES” (1.1 million tenge were allocated from the trade union’s funds);
— with the participation of the Branch “Trade Union “AlES”” the work of the Production Council on Labor Safety and Health was organized. Practical assistance is constantly provided in the work of technical labor protection inspectors (20 people). The state of labor protection in the production departments of AlES JSC is monitored. Chairmen of trade union committees and technical labor safety inspectors of departments of AlES JSC take an active part in the work to protect AlES JSC employees from infection with the Covid-19 coronavirus infection;
— on the Day of Ecologist of the Republic of Kazakhstan, 10 employees were awarded Certificates of Honor from the Branch “Trade Union “AlES” with cash bonuses of 20,000 tenge to each employee;
– in June, the three best labor safety inspectors (Usenov A.N., Tursyn Sh.K., Astrelin P.V.) were awarded Certificates of Honor from the Branch of the Trade Union “AlES” with cash bonuses of 20,000 tenge;
— on the Day of Medical Worker of the Republic of Kazakhstan, 17 medical workers working in the Head Office and departments of AlES JSC were rewarded with cash bonuses from the funds of the AlES Trade Union Branch;
— a children’s drawing competition was organized in June. Children, winners of the competition, were awarded Certificates and valuable gifts;
— AlES JSC has a Collective Agreement in force for 2019-2022. At the initiative of the Branch “Trade Union “AlES””, an application was submitted to participate in the “Paryz” competition in the category “Best Collective Agreement of the Year”;
— The branch “Trade Union “AlES” considered applications and appeals from employees of JSC “AlES” on issues of wages, purchase of household equipment for meal rooms at workplaces, etc.;
— during the year, no applications were received from employees of AlES JSC regarding individual labor disputes;
— Chairmen of primary trade union organizations regularly visit the workplaces of workers in the production departments of AlES JSC in order to maintain a normal moral and psychological climate in work collectives.
With the introduction of quarantine in the city of Almaty from March 18, 2020 to protect city residents from infection with the Covid-19 coronavirus infection, employees of AlES JSC living in the Almaty region faced a problem related to renting housing in the city of Almaty. The implementation of this work, by mutual agreement with the management of AlES JSC, was entrusted to the AlES Trade Union Branch. At the expense of funds allocated by AlES JSC for rental housing, for the period from March 18 to May 16, 2020, payment for rental housing was made to 194 employees of the departments of CHPP-1, CHPP-2, Western Thermal Complex, Fuel Reception and Unloading Center , Production and repair enterprise “Energoremont” JSC “AlES”. The total amount of payment for rental housing at AlES JSC amounted to 17.2 million tenge. In connection with the appeal of the Akimat of Almaty to the management of AlES JSC to assist the city’s medical institutions in purchasing and providing hospitals with oxygen cylinders, the AlES branch of the trade union purchased 50 oxygen cylinders in the amount of 3.25 million tenge, at the expense of allocated for these purposes by AlES JSC.
The Public Association “Local Trade Union “Energy” and the Branch “Trade Union “AlES” work closely with the Republican Public Association “Kazakhstan Industry Trade Union of Energy Workers” and the Territorial Association of the Trade Union “Trade Union Center of Almaty”.
