About the work of the NGO “Local Trade Union “Energy” and the branch “Trade Union “Almaty Electric Stations” in 2019

NGO “Local Trade Union “Energy” and the Branch “Trade Union “Almaty Electric Stations” of the Public Association “Local Trade Union “Energy” unites 2,736 trade union members with a total number of employees at JSC “AlES” – 3,106 people.
During 2019, the NGO “Local Trade Union “Energia” and the Branch “Trade Union “AlES” did the following work:
– Children’s New Year’s gifts were purchased for the children of employees of AlES JSC and children’s New Year’s parties with theatrical performances were organized;
— non-working pensioners of AlES JSC in the amount of 1,134 people were provided with charitable assistance in the amount of up to 30,000 tenge for each pensioner (taking into account the length of service in the electric power industry);
— reporting trade union meetings were held on the results of the work of the primary trade union organizations of the departments of AlES JSC for 2018;
— 29 internationalist soldiers, in connection with the 30th anniversary of the withdrawal of Soviet troops from Afghanistan, were paid a one-time remuneration of 30,000 tenge to each employee and non-working pensioner;
— by the Day of March 8, female workers and female pensioners of AlES JSC (667 working women, 471 female pensioners, 1138 women in total) were paid a one-time remuneration in the amount of 18.9 million tenge. At the expense of the trade union, congratulations to women workers were organized (tea parties were organized);
— in April, at the expense of the trade union, festive events were organized and held for the personnel of AlES JSC, dedicated to the celebration of “Nauryz Meiramy”. The celebration of Nauryz was held in the territories of the Head Office and production departments of AlES JSC with the participation of all personnel of AlES JSC (celebratory dinner, performances by amateur artists of AlES JSC);
— in April, 57 tree seedlings (birch) were purchased and planted on the territory of the Edelweiss children’s camp;
— on the occasion of Victory Day on May 9 in the Great Patriotic War of 1941-1945, the participants of the Great Patriotic War, veterans of the labor front, internationalist soldiers and participants in the liquidation of the Chernobyl nuclear power plant accident (67 people in total) were honored. Participants of the Second World War, home front workers and persons equivalent to them were paid a one-time remuneration in the amount of 3.3 million tenge with the provision of food baskets (non-working pensioners 40 people, 15,000 tenge per food basket);
— the celebration of Kurban Ait was organized at the expense of the trade union. — about 400 children and grandchildren of employees of AlES JSC rested at the Edelweiss children’s camp;
— with the participation of the Branch “Trade Union “AlES”” the work of the Production Council on Labor Safety and Health was organized. Practical assistance is constantly provided in the work of technical labor protection inspectors (19 people). The state of labor protection in the production departments of AlES JSC is monitored;
— in April, the results of the review competition for the best occupational safety and health enterprise were summed up. Based on the results of the review competition, the following were awarded:
1) 1st place with the presentation of a Certificate, Cup and cash prize in the amount of 50,000 tenge to the team of the production department of the Cascade HPP of AlPP JSC;
2) 2nd place with the presentation of a Certificate and a cash prize in the amount of 40,000 tenge to the team of the production department of CHPP-3 of AlES JSC;
3) III place with the presentation of a Certificate and a cash prize in the amount of 30,000 tenge to the team of the production department of the Central Electrical Transport Center of AlES JSC;
— in the production departments of JSC “AlES” sports competitions are held in mini-football, volleyball and other sports. 450,000 tenge were allocated for the purchase of sports uniforms and sports equipment for sports teams of departments of AlES JSC;
— sports teams of AlES JSC took part in the Samruk-Kazyna Spartakiad in Shymkent in August 2019;
— the trade union provides assistance in the work of the youth organization of AlES JSC “Zharkyn Bolashak”. A charity event was held for the pupils of orphanage No. 1 in the Bostandyk district (cultural and entertainment program, festive lunch, gifts);
— Children’s drawing competitions were organized. The children who won the competition were awarded Certificates and valuable gifts. In the assembly hall of CHPP-1, children were congratulated and treated to a festive lunch. All children were given gifts;
— employees of AlES JSC are allocated places for their children and grandchildren in departmental trade union kindergartens “Balbobek”, “Solnyshko” and “Happi Land” at a reduced cost;
— AlES JSC has a Collective Agreement for 2019-2022, which provides social protection for the Company’s employees through the implementation of social package standards for employees, the issuance of workwear, safety footwear and PPE, the establishment of additional payments for hazardous working conditions, additional leaves and etc., which improve the current standards of labor legislation and other regulations of the Republic of Kazakhstan. The collective agreement was printed in Russian and Kazakh languages ​​and distributed to all departments of AlES JSC;
— The branch “Trade Union “AlES” considered applications and appeals from employees of JSC “AlES” on issues of wages, the creation of rooms for meals at workplaces, the purchase of household equipment, etc.;
— during the year, at a meeting of the conciliation commission of AlES JSC, 5 applications from employees were considered, on which decisions were made to protect the interests of AlES JSC employees;
— Chairmen of trade union organizations regularly visit the workplaces of workers in the production departments of AlES JSC in order to maintain a normal moral and psychological climate among workers;
— NGO “Local Trade Union “Energy” and the Branch “Trade Union “AlES” work closely with the Republican Public Association “Kazakhstan Industry Trade Union of Energy Workers” and the Territorial Association of the Trade Union “Trade Union Center of Almaty”.
