ALMATY ELECTRIC POWER STATIONS JSC ANNOUNCES ENVIRONMENTAL ACTIONS TO COLLECT AND HAND OVER USED BATTERIES “BATTERYGE-THE SECOND LIFE” AND COLLECT AND HAND OVER WASTE PAPER: “# BATLMACULATURA”

The purpose of the campaign is to attract the attention of the company’s employees to separate garbage collection, to form an active social position and to acquire waste management skills.

The goal of the campaign is to organize the active collection and delivery of batteries used for subsequent recycling, as well as sending waste paper for collection and recycling to preserve the green fund, as well as developing a culture of careful attitude to resources and environmental responsibility at the corporate level.

Description of the promotion: until October 31 of this year, participants of the campaign collect used batteries and paper waste that appear in the course of the company’s daily activities – office paper, magazines, advertising printing, newspapers, old books, paper packaging, cardboard, which are transferred to an organization specializing in recycling after the promotion ends. Batteries that are out of service in the production department should be handed over to responsible environmentalists of the department, accepted in the main office in room 234. Waste paper should be placed in the production department in the frequency response(specialized room, cold warehouse), in the head office-on the temporary storage site next to solid waste containers.

Participants: all employees of the Company.

Requirements for environmental promotions:

Accepted:

all types of used (used) batteries (sycamore, finger-shaped, tablet-shaped, crown-shaped, etc.);

batteries for mobile phones and children’s toys;

used batteries are accepted in boxes or thick plastic bags;

magazines, old books, newspapers;

packaging, archives made of cardboard and corrugated cardboard;

Before delivery, the waste paper is placed in boxes that can be tied with a rope or rope.

Waste paper delivery terms and conditions:

paper and cardboard must be dry, clean, on both sides;

documents and prefabricated items are accepted without paper clips, staples, or files;

products must not be contaminated with varnish, chemicals or oil.

Stages of the promotion:

January 09, 2023-Announcement of the promotion on batteries and waste paper;

Until October 31, 2023-acceptance, measurement and sale of batteries and waste paper;

November 03, 2023-Summing up and publishing the results of collecting batteries and waste paper.
